The Letter B [Mar. 29th, 2007|10:27 pm]
[mood | sleepy]

Comment and I'll give you a letter; then you have to list 10 things you like that begin with that letter. After, post this in your journal, and give out some letters of your own.

Thanks Nacho aka Liz!

1. Bacon, I know it's gross sometimes but I really like it as long as it's not crunchy.

2. Blue, the color in almost every shade.

3. Band-Aids because they fix every hurt.

4. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, yeah I know, but I really liked the show...and Willow.

5. Bandanas because you can use them for almost anything, even cleaning a toilet :P

6. Beer when there isn't any Jack and Coke.

7. Books, almost always so much better than the movie.

8. Brothers...well the idea of them anyway, I always thought it would be fun to have them.

9. Barcelona. That place is amazing, I hope I get to go back again.

10. Baked goods...I really like some baked goods.

Wow, the letter B was kinda hard.

a little creepy [Feb. 4th, 2007|02:25 pm]
[mood | tired]

I'm a little weirded out at the accuracy of my horoscope today.

Pisces
February 19 - March 20
You may be making slow but gradual progress with a relationship matter right now. Even though you might know what you want, you may not be sure whether or not a particular person shares all your feelings. And other people you are relying on could have some personal or emotional issues that need to be dealt with right now.

remind me to never let anyone rear end me again [Oct. 23rd, 2006|11:32 pm]
[mood | frustrated]

So let me just say it is the worst hassle in the world to get hit by someone in traffic on the way to work. I am so thankful though that the only damage to my car was to my bumper and a scratch below my tail light. I feel bad for the guy who hit me and din't have a license or insurance. His car looked really bad. When I finally got into work I rushed to get stuff done and then I got to help out at an after school program to help translate for kids and parents. It was so much fun talking to the girls. They were so cute and so excited to be Girl Scouts and it was cute to see their eyes get big when i told them I was a Girl Scout when I was their age. I love working with kids. I'm glad I'm going to get to do it for the next couple mondays.

Is it time for camp already? [Jun. 16th, 2006|12:53 am]
[mood | contemplative]

So it's time. I don't know if I'm ready for it but it doesn't matter because sometime after work tomorrow I'm heading up to camp. I know once I get up there I'll have a good time and I'll be happy to be there, it's just right now there's been so much to do to close up the year at school and to start up the summer. I haven't even started packing and I feel like I have a ton of stuff I was supposed to do before going up both for camp and for BGC but it's here anyway. I'll be back down next saturday the 24th to coach my softball team at their playoff tournament so I'll be missing open house but I think I'll have a lot of fun getting to be with my girls one last time before some of them graduate to high school.

If anyone wants to write me while I'm at camp you'd make my day. I love getting mail and I never get any while I'm up there. Here's my address while I'm gone. I'll write back if you write to me.

Ice Cream [May. 29th, 2006|01:17 am]
[mood | sleepy]

Pisces (Feb. 19 to March 20)
You're a sensualist at heart, Pisces. You swoon for the luxurious mix of chocolate ice cream swirled with peanut butter, or a vanilla sundae with caramel topping, whipped cream and toasted nuts. Jamocha Almond Fudge is one of your favorites … the combination of creamy and nutty textures turns you on. You find Mint Chocolate Chip refreshing, and you adore the sensation of those thin chocolate strips melting on your tongue. Starbucks' Java Chip keeps you going when you're burning the candle at both ends.

I don't know why I decided to click on the ice cream astrology link this evening but I was caught a little off guard when I saw how accurate it was. Just this afternoon I was craving chocolate peanut butter ice cream so I went out and got some and vanilla sundaes with caramel topping have always been my favorite. I think next time I go to Starbucks I might try the Java Chip.

I finally saw Rent [Feb. 24th, 2006|11:38 pm]
I have to say I'm a little dissapointed. I just saw the movie Rent and it was very good but the whole time I thought something missing and then when I saw the deleted scenes I realized something was, only the greatest scene in the whole musical between Mark and Roger. It made me very sad to see it was deleted along with Mark singing in the cemetary. I was also very dissapointed in the ending and the reasoning for changing the endings. It's good if I don't think of it as the amazing musical I saw my freshman year of college but I have to admit that's tough to do.

I'm hoping I don't wake up really sick tomorrow and that maybe my cold will just go away. wish me luck.

On another note...I'm closer to moving out of my house. I figure the more I say it to people the more likely I am to follow through with it. So posting it here is like setting it in stone. I can't slack on it now.

Christmas = being sick [Dec. 23rd, 2005|07:26 pm]
I've decided that I am fated to be sick on Christmas. As far back as I can remember I've been sick in some way or another for Christmas. Maybe I should just expect it and stock up on drugs at this time every year. I hate being sick, it takes so much effort to go out and finish shopping when it hurts to move. Oh well, maybe next year I won't get sick, but I will be ready to fight back.

Last week I donated bone marrow to [info]punkyb118 in a life-saving procedure (300 points). In June I saved a busload of nuns in Angola (326 points). Up way too late... [Nov. 18th, 2005|08:45 am]
[mood | tired]

Wow this year is going by so fast. I feel like november is over already but maybe it's just because I look at my months a week at a time for work...or maybe it's because the whole world had decided to skip november to decorate for Christmas already. I really like Thanksgiving and i'm not sure I'm onboard with all the retailers deciding christmas decorations should be up before it. It used to be that Thanksgiving was the mark, everything went up after. Oh well I'll just try to remember there are actually still two weeks left of november.

But on to that which my title is about...Last night or early this morning rather at 12:01am I went to see the the newest Harry Potter movie. It was great, I really liked how they did most of it. Yes there was alot of stuff left out but I haven't read the book in a long time so I wasn't caught up on all the details like with the third movie. I hated that one. This morning it's really kicking my butt, I can't go to bed at three in the morning anymore...I feel so old.

I feel like I'm always looking for a job... [Nov. 9th, 2005|09:51 pm]
[mood | calm]

...but I hate doing it so I'm barely ever actually looking. I need to find something part-time so I can pay my bills. Alright, that sucks, on to something I'm actually excited about doing. I'm going to go see Ellis play at a house concert in North Hollywood on December 10 and I'm looking for people who want to go with me. If you want to hear some of her stuff you can go to her myspace page. She is awesome to see live, she has an amazing stage presence. http://www.myspace.com/ellismusic

I was going to write more stuff but I got distracted watching Lost and now I don't really feel like typing anymore.

thought I'd post for all [Oct. 15th, 2005|11:52 pm]
[mood | optimistic]
[music |silence of a sleeping house]

Things are really good right now. I really really like my job. There is so much potential for things to get better and my kids are great. I'm thinking about getting a part time job for the mornings or weekends or both I guess but i really like my weekends off. I'd like to move out of my parents house but I'm content with staying here for now so I can save some money. I'd like to travel to a few places to visit a few friends but it's not in the cards for now. Maybe if I get that second job. Tonight was a lot of fun. Went to dinner with Frisbee before going to see Maven's awesome concerto performance. We made it back even though we were a little turned around with the directions and we got to go over to big bridges because of it. I'm pretty happy right now.

Another break gone, 7 days to go [Aug. 7th, 2005|11:43 pm]
I'm getting horrible at posting here. Sometimes I feel like I've fallen off the face of the earth. I'm going back up to camp tomorrow after a pretty fun break. Magic Mountain was fun and my sister's b-day party was great too. In the morning I have to go shopping for something to wear to a wedding that is less than a week away. I hate clothes shopping so it'll be interesting I have about three hours to find something.

On a seperate note my parents just told me today that one of my grandma's renters is moving out so she will have a three bedroom house available soon. I want it but I'm looking for two roomates to move in to the house with me. If you know anyone that is looking let me know. I'd really like to be able to move out of my parents' house.
